Force Multiplier is a new iHeartRadio original podcast with Salesforce.org that examines the exponential impact we can have on the world by working together. The podcast, hosted by Emmy-nominated host, activist, and creator of the How to Citizen Podcast, Baratunde Thurston, begins streaming on August 12 on the iHeartRadio App, Apple Podcasts, or wherever podcasts are available.

Thurston’s unique interviewing style explores common themes across conversations with leaders from the public, private, and nonprofit world. Each episode highlights the complex challenges they face — and the cross-sector partnerships they’ve forged to address them. From building scalable programs to finding new ways to fundraise, organizations committed to social impact are finding new ways to combine forces, use the power of technology to scale, and multiply their positive impact.

“The partnerships springing up organically across different disciplines are fascinating,” said Thurston, “and are probably our best hope of actually solving these incredibly complex global problems.”

Podcast episodes will explore topics like health inequity, workforce development, climate change, and the opportunity gap in education — unprecedented challenges that require unprecedented collaboration from leaders across disciplines and sectors.

Cristina Jones, Salesforce.org’s Chief Engagement Officer, noted, “Salesforce.org sits at the intersection of business and social impact. We see first-hand how action leadership in one sector impacts another. Our goal for this podcast is to inspire everyone, no matter where they sit, to find new ways to multiply the impact of the work that matters most to them.”

Private sector leaders are also finding new value in a purpose-led approach to business, including a clear sense of responsibility to the communities around them. These leaders are eager to explore new ways to support employees, customers, partners, and the planet, and opportunities to contribute to a more fair, equal, and sustainable future for everyone.

“This new branded podcast is an ambitious project to bridge the major chasm that exists between big business and social impact work,” said Gayle Troberman, Chief Marketing Officer for iHeartMedia. “We’re excited to hear what happens when thought leaders in business dig deep and get real with their peers from the nonprofit world to share ideas, collaborate, and deliver more impact together.”

Force Multiplier will feature leaders from organizations like Feeding America, Oakland Unified School District, Morehouse School of Medicine, and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. The first episode about nutrition insecurity will be available on August 12 on iHeartRadio and all other podcast platforms.
