Snacks, the Flagship Women's Soccer Podcast from Just Women’s Sports hosted by Sam Mewis and Lynn Williams, Teams Up With iHeartPodcasts for Its New Season

Mewis and Lynn continue in a new season providing unparalleled insights into the world of women’s soccer with a unique perspective on the NWSL week to week

‘Snacks,’ the premier women’s soccer podcast series hosted by Sam Mewis and Lynn Williams from Just Women’s Sports, today announced it has teamed up with iHeartPodcasts for the return of its highly anticipated new season. As two of the most dynamic and accomplished players in the game, Mewis and Williams bring their audience a wealth of experience and insight providing behind-the-scenes access to some of the biggest names in women's soccer while navigating life at the highest levels of the sport. The first episode of the new season will kick off tomorrow, Thursday, March 30 and will be distributed by iHeartPodcasts.

Previous guests on the show have included Megan Rapinoe, Mallory Swanson (Pugh), Sam Kerr, Briana Scurry, Becky Sauerbrunn, and Rose Lavelle, among others. In giving NWSL fans a candid look at the league and its most talked about storylines every week, episodes with the sport’s most notable guests have given listeners unprecedented access and insights into the lives of the world’s most famous players as they discuss topics ranging from league transactions and pay equity to their favorite inside jokes. Through the new deal with iHeartPodcasts, the No. 1 podcast publisher globally, “Snacks” will now have an even larger platform to drive these larger conversations that often transcend sports from the athlete’s perspective.

"We’re excited to bring ‘Snacks’ back for another season as it’s one of the most important platforms in women’s sports right now,” Haley Rosen, Founder and CEO of Just Women’s Sports stated, “Women’s soccer has been on such an incredible growth trajectory over the past decade, and on this show, two of the game’s most decorated and accomplished players are not only providing their authentic perspective every week as professionals but also as burgeoning media personalities adding to the almost non existent conversations happening about women’s soccer games week to week.”

Lynn Williams mentioned, "We're thrilled to be back for a new season of ‘Snacks.’ We’ve been roommates together, we’ve won championships together, and we’ve represented our country on the national stage together. ‘Snacks’ is our way for us to connect with fans and to continue to grow the game by giving a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to be a professional women's soccer player and all that comes with it: the travel, training, trades, family, friends, injuries, coaches, the wins, the losses, it’s all there.”

“I can’t wait for this new season. This league is constantly moving and shifting, and giving fans an inside look at it all that they can’t get anywhere else is our secret sauce,” Sam Mewis said. “Even with everything we’ve accomplished on the field, ‘Snacks’ is one of our greatest joys because it provides us with such a unique opportunity for us to share our experiences around the game we love, and provide a platform for others to talk about women's soccer, in a way that hasn't been done before.”

The new season of ‘Snacks’ is available tomorrow, Thursday, March 30th, on the iHeartRadio app and wherever you listen to podcasts.
