BURBANK, Calif. (April 16, 2024) – iHeartPodcasts and London Audio, the podcast division of Paris Hilton’s next-gen media company 11:11 Media, today announced season two of "Trapped In Treatment," set to premiere on April 30th. With new podcast episodes every Tuesday, "Trapped in Treatment" continues to examine and expose the dark secrets and controversial practices of the Troubled Teen Industry.

From 11:11 Media, London Audio and iHeartPodcasts with Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Telepictures, Trapped in Treatment season 2 focuses on the World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools (WWASPS), one of the largest and most notorious networks of schools in the Troubled Teen Industry. The Season follows the story of one small town Utah man who would become the mastermind behind an empire of Troubled Teen programs that would spread across the world. From children being kept in dog cages to being trapped in a foreign country, the lived experience accounts of surviving WWASP is nothing short of horrifying.

Continuing to uncover the human rights scandal hiding in our own backyards, hosts Caroline Cole and Rebecca Mellinger interview survivors, family members and former employees ofWWASPS, providing groundbreaking first-hand accounts of a variety of alleged abuses, such as students confined in small spaces, forced feedings and rape reenactments, among other unimaginable acts.

“As a survivor, I feel so honored that Trapped in Treatment has been able to help raise awareness and advocate for change within youth residential facilities,” said Hilton. “Our collective voice as survivors is stronger each time someone talks about their personal journey, and I thank each and every guest who has been brave enough to come forward on our podcast this season.”

Demanding transparency and accountability, Hilton, Cole and Mellinger have been at the forefront of advocating to reform the Troubled Teen Industry and continue to campaign for the passage of the federal bipartisan Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act.  In 2023, Hilton, Cole and Mellinger were honored for their advocacy work by Rise with the Extraordinary Changemaker of the Year Award through 11:11 Media’s Impact division.

"Trapped In Treatment" is executive produced by Hilton, Bruce Gersh and Bruce Robertson and is distributed by iHeartPodcasts and available on the iHeartRadio app and all other podcast platforms.
